I’d like to try…Bare Escentuals bareVitamins Eye Rev-er Upper

    Posted on July 7, 2008

I’ve been having a bout of ocular rosacea ever since it got hot out, so I’ve been in search for a soothing, cooling, brightening eye cream. On my short list is Bare Escentuals bareVitamins Eye Rev-er Upper - as you know, I trust all things Bare Escentuals when it comes to calming down rosacea, so I think it would be a good one for handling the skin in my eye area.

It brightens around the eye (which sounds great after a week of everyone commenting how tired I look because my eyes are puffy) and has light-diffusing particles which would be great for giving my eyes a smoother look. It also has cucumber extract to soothe and de-puff the eye area - which is just what I need.

Find it at Sephora.com for $21.

    Kinerase Cream for Rosacea

    Posted on February 22, 2008

When I first developed rosacea I went through a myriad of products to try to soothe my skin. In my endless search I found a few highly effective ones. Kinerase Cream is one such product.

I tried Kinerase since I had reasonable success with another lotion that contained kinetin (the active ingredient in Kinerase). It quickly soothed my skin (which is a real plus when your skin is raw, itchy, and painful) and my skin started to settle down in a few days. I continued to use it on a daily basis for awhile and went a good length of time before my next outbreak. Even then, it wasn’t as severe as my initial outbreak since I used Kinerase Cream from the first sign.

Even if you don’t have rosacea, Kinerase is great if you are retinol intolerant. Retin-A and other retinols are amazing, but some people can’t use them, and this is a great alternative.

Find Kinerase Cream at Sephora.com for $117 for 2.8 oz with free shipping. If you’d like to try it before you plunk down the money, Sephora is currently offering a sample within the three samples you can choose at checkout with any order.
